She has been engaged in nursing education and research for over 20 years, always striving to enhance the social value and international influence of the nursing profession. She has pioneered innovations, recruited talents, and established the School of Nursing Lanzhou University, propelling the nursing discipline in Gansu Province onto a fast track of high-speed development, transforming the nursing faculty in this underdeveloped western region from "local" to "international." She led the construction of Gansu Province’s first Nursing Experimental and Training Center, providing a platform for nursing staff to conduct research and clinical training. She also guided young teachers to have the spirit of educators, such as setting a good example in behavior, loving teaching and students, and being willing to contribute. Higher nursing education in Gansu has thus formed a comprehensive "bachelor’s-master’s-doctoral" system. She has innovated the training mechanism for specialist nurses and translated research outcomes for social benefit, injecting new momentum into the high-quality development of the nursing profession. She shared the valuable experience and effective practices derived from her work, along with the increasingly evident results of reforms, with over 30 medical institutions in neighboring provinces, helping the western provinces further deepen and enhance their scientific management of the nursing teams. She is consistently dedicated to ensuring that residents in western China receive equitable nursing services. To this end, she established volunteer teams to assist Tibet and built a nursing training base in the Gannan Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture, and pioneered a new model of "flexible aid to Tibet through remote nursing". Her efforts have allowed the "Light of Florence Nightingale" to illuminate every corner of the vast grasslands and rugged mountains. She forged ahead fearlessly, taking on the heavy responsibility of handling all kinds of public emergencies, and fulfilling the noble mission of putting people first and valuing life above all else.
